Essendon Village Hall
Protecting Your Data
We take data privacy very seriously and in the world of e-mail, social media and mobile phones the challenges for organisations managing data responsibly and compliantly are very real. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) became law in the UK in May 2018. Under this regulation, all organisations that collect and process data must do so lawfully and ensure that processes are in place to protect personal data.
What We Are Doing?
Hiring the hall: This falls under the lawful basis of a contract and we will collect and process only the information required to fulfil that contract e.g. telephone number or email address or postal address to that we can communicate with you about the booking. These details will only be held for as long as they are necessary for the booking.
200 Club: This falls under the lawful basis of a contract and also requires consent and again we will collect and process only the information required to fulfil that contract e.g. telephone number or email address or postal address so that we can communicate with you in the event that a prize is won. It is also beneficial to collect this data in order to administer the 200 Club and provide periodic communications, for those purposes we require your consent. As with hall hire, theses details will only be kept for as long as necessary and reviewed annually.
